Senior Helpdesk Support Technician (IT Support) - UK Visa Sponsorship Available
Job Description
Candidates must possess advanced technical troubleshooting capabilities far exceeding basic entry-level desktop support.The Senior IT Support Technician will provide tier-1 and tier-2 end-user support to staff across our corporate office and multiple care home facilities. You will ensure technical disruptions are resolved quickly, allowing front-line caregivers to focus completely on resident care.Key responsibilities include:
- Helpdesk Management & SLA Resolution: Manage, categorise, and resolve incoming technical tickets through our ITSM platform, meeting strict service level agreements (SLAs) for ticket closure times.
- Hardware & Software Provisioning: Configure, image, and securely deploy corporate computing hardware, including desktop PCs, laptops, network printers, and corporate mobile devices/tablets used by care staff for digital health logging.
- Network Troubleshooting: Remotely diagnose and resolve localised network connectivity issues at individual care home sites, including checking router configurations, troubleshooting mesh Wi-Fi access points, and fixing VoIP phone glitches.
- Access Control & Identity Management: Execute user onboarding and offboarding tasks within Azure Active Directory, managing user profiles, email distribution lists, and file-access permissions.
- Documentation & User Training: Build and update articles in our internal IT knowledge base. Create simple, non-technical quick-start guides to help care home staff troubleshoot basic technical issues independently.
Person Specification
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site corporate IT service desk or helpdesk environment.
- Formal certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are mandatory requirements.
- Expert troubleshooting knowledge of Windows 11, iOS/iPadOS mobile device management (MDM) platforms (e.g., MS Intune), basic active directory administration, and network diagnostic tools.
- Behavioural Traits: Incredible patience, exceptional customer service skills over the phone and via text, clear communication that avoids overly technical jargon, and strong time-management capabilities.
